On The Road –

“You can’t cross the sea merely by standing and staring at the water.” – Rabindranath Tagore

It lets you on:

A one way ticket.

Over fields and brooklets,

Leaving its tracks.

Accumulating a few;

Staying dear to loved ones.

Rocky roads ahead,

When passengers depart.

Trundling to the end of the route,

Some longer than others.

Completing our journy’s

Legacies passed on…

There is a new 25 word writing competition, on the theme of ‘Childhood’. It may be a personal account or just a fictional piece; similarly, it may also take any form.

All entrants work will be published in a post, however the winner’s work will be featured and I will link to their blog for a fortnight.

To enter, use the contacts section at the top of the page or email me at: uponthehearth@gmail.com

Thank you for taking part!
