Author Of The Week: Alexander Theroux

Alexander Theroux is an unrecognized American author who is prehaps most famous for his book ‘Darconville’s Cat‘:  It tells of an affair between Alaric Darconville, an English professor and one of his students Isabel. As well as this it also discusses various over topics.

Born in Massachusettes, Alexander was brought up by his parents Anne and Albert Eugene Theroux. From his childhood, of which little is known, he went on to earn  a PhD in English Literature.

His first book ‘Three Wogs‘ was published in 1972; he got the inspiration to write the book after a stay in London. This book was considered for a performance by the BBC although it did not go ahead.

As of 2016 he has published four novels along with other works.
